Botox, derived from botulinum toxin is secreted by a bacteria. Its particularity is to be effective to soften our wrinkles provided they are injected in very small quantities.
Botulinum toxin is mainly used for wrinkles between the eyebrows ( frown lines ) , those at the outer corners of the eyes ( crow’s feet ) and wrinkles formed at the forehead. It is therefore mainly used for the upper part of the face.
How does it works?
When it is injected, it freezes the action of the neurotransmitter . So it weakens the muscle where the toxin is injected and blocks the development of facial wrinkles , preventing the contraction of facial muscles.
To have the best effect , the signs of aging must already be visible !
