Crowns
Also called caps, crowns are natural-looking covers that fit snugly over teeth to conceal cracked, badly discolored, injured, or chipped teeth. Crowns minimize physical discomfort in and provide support to damaged teeth. Ultimately, crowns can improve the overall appearance of your smile while making your teeth more resistant to injury. For more information about crowns, please contact us today.

Tooth Whitening
Many of us feel that our smiles are most striking when our teeth look especially white, but unfortunately, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and tobacco can leave behind ugly stains. To help you restore your gleaming, bright white smile and to give you an added boost of confidence, we offer many options, such as in-office bleaching, BriteSmile, and take-home whitening procedures. BriteSmile, our most popular option, is one of the safest, most effective methods of tooth whitening available today. During BriteSmile treatment, a hydrogen peroxide-based gel is spread evenly over the teeth; the patient is then positioned in front of a specially -formulated whitening lamp. After one hour, the teeth are up to eight to 10 shades whiter! And to ensure the results last, we give all patients at-home personal whitening kits that will help them maintain their beautiful new smiles for much longer. To learn more about BriteSmile, please contact us today.

Bonding
A smile can be dulled by stained, chipped, cracked or misaligned teeth, but bonding can quickly and painlessly restore your smile’s natural beauty. During the procedure, a thin coating of plastic or resin is painted over the damaged teeth, strengthening them and making them virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. To find out if bonding is the right option for you, please contact us today.

Bridges
Sometimes a bit more work is needed to give you the smile you want. If you are missing teeth, having trouble speaking or chewing, and noticing strain when biting, bridges may be the ideal procedure to help make your mouth healthy and beautiful again. Bridges, sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, literally bridge gaps between teeth by filling them with strong, natural-looking artificial teeth. Bridges can only be removed by a dentist but are somewhat permanent, comfortable, and proven to make teeth strong. To find out if bridges are the right option for you, please contact us today.

Sleep Apnea Specialists
Sleep Apnea is a serious, potentially life-threatening condition that is far more common than generally understood. First described in 1965, sleep apnea is a breathing disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. There are two types of sleep apnea: central and obstructive. The rarer of the two is Central sleep apnea, which occurs when the brain fails to send the appropriate signals to the breathing muscles to initiate respirations. Most people suffer from obstructive sleep apnea, which occurs when air cannot flow into or out of the person’s nose or mouth although efforts to breathe continue.
There are several ways to treat snoring and sleep apnea. Most doctors use a device called a CPAP machine. CPAP stands for continuous positive air pressure. It is usually applied through a tube to a mask that covers the nose. The air pressure that is generated splints the structures in the back of the throat, holding the airway open during sleep.
Treatment can also be accomplished with surgery of the soft palate, uvula, and tongue to eliminate the tissue that collapses during sleep. More complex surgery can reposition the anatomic structure of your mouth and facial bones, but this is done only in extreme cases.
Oral appliances that treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea are small plastic devices, worn in the mouth, similar to orthodontic retainers or sports mouthguards. Oral appliance therapy involves the selection, design, fitting and use of a specially designed oral appliance that, when worn during sleep, maintains an opened, unobstructed airway in the throat.

Bite Appliances
Excessive clenching, grinding, or poor bite alignment can strain your jaw joints or injure your teeth, causing discomfort, and often, severe pain. Dizziness, ear pain, head and neck pain, chewing difficulties, muscle soreness, and even throat pain may surface as the condition worsens. To correct such problems, we offer a variety of fixed and removable bite appliances, including the NTI appliance. When worn, the NTI prevents teeth from touching one another, ultimately relaxing the jaw muscles and alleviating pain. To learn more about bite appliances, please contact our practice today.

Dentures: Custom, Full, Partial, or Removable
Custom: Today’s technology allows us to fully customize dentures to fit your mouth precisely and to exactly match the color of your existing teeth. A good fit ensures chewing comfort and added strength.
Full: Dentures are an excellent option for people who have lost all their teeth. Precisely designed and molded to fit one’s mouth, full dentures slide over the gums and are held in place with strong cheek and mouth muscles. They allow for comfortable chewing and keep the mouth and its surrounding facial features in proper alignment.
Partial: Sometimes, only partial dentures are needed to solve the problem of missing teeth. When properly fitted and designed, partial dentures—which are strong, comfortable, and virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth—can provide extra chewing comfort, maintain facial structure, and ensure added strength.
Removable: Removable dentures fill gaps left by missing teeth. They are held in place with metal clasps or precision devices (tooth-colored, discreet clasps) that are attached to natural teeth. Usually made of resin or metal, removable dentures allow comfortable and effective chewing.
To find out if dentures are right for you, please contact our practice today.

Bioform Invisible Braces
Bioform invisible braces can give you amazingly straight teeth like you never thought possible. They work through a series of clear, removable, and comfortable aligners that are only visible to you. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will continuously realign. After an amount of time determined by your dentist (times usually vary range from nine to 15 months), your teeth will have progressed to the final position you want. They are worn for a much shorter period of time than traditional metal braces and do not cause mouth sores or snags.
Bioform braces have been proven to be very effective for those with crooked teeth, spaces between their teeth, or crowded teeth. To learn more about bioform braces, please contact us today.

Periodontics
Unfortunately, periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile—it can cause loss of teeth and, eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage or, if detected late, we can use one of many effective cosmetic dentistry procedures to restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state. For more information, please contact our office today.

Endodontics / Root Canal
Each of our teeth contains a long, thin strand of dental pulp—which provides the tooth with nutrients and nerves—that extends down to the tooth’s root. If the pulp becomes infected or injured, the tooth’s nerves die and, often, without endodontic treatment, the tooth dies as well. Root canals are designed to save such damaged teeth. During the procedure (performed under anesthesia), a gap is drilled into the tooth’s crown and pulp chamber, diseased pulp is reshaped or removed, and the tooth is permanently sealed with a gold, porcelain, or tooth-colored crown. To learn more about root canals, please contact us today.

Breath Control
Bad breath is not only embarrassing, but it may also be a sign of a medical problem. Its most common causes include dry mouth, pungent foods, insufficient tooth maintenance (such as infrequent brushing or flossing), and periodontal disease. If you suffer from chronic bad breath, we can help. Special soft tissue treatment and antimicrobial mouthwash are just two of the treatments that we offer. To determine the cause of your halitosis and to explore your treatment options, please contact us today.

TMJ
Thousands of Americans suffer from myofacial pain (commonly known as TMJ). Myofacial pain therapy seeks to remedy the disorder by restoring balance between the teeth, muscles, and joints. As each patient's case is different, we offer a variety of surgical and non-surgical options. Therapy may involve a special splint, called a neuromuscular orthosis, which is often used to recreate balance or, later on, a semi-permanent splint, comprehensive orthodontics (including braces), or tooth restoration. For more information on myofacial pain therapy, please contact us today.
